I'd get a 2002 or 2003, preferably the latter, as it has DVD based navigation.

I found the MB navigation system annoying. The odometer/compass backup system working when satellite signal is not available puts us in the middle of the lake too often.
My laptop GPS at least admits "no signal" instead of lies.
