tape holder mod

Has anybody changed the 6 tape holders with something else? I was just wondering because I have no use for them but don't know what to do...

hi there <br> i ' gutted' out the old tape holders just leaving the caseing brought a nice piece of cherry wood cut it and used a router, sand paper, varnish, a couple of small hinges and and presto a new compartment to store stuff out of view~
