So, I now have a full custom shop to run in District Heights MD. Any suggestion on what to do first?
The guy who owns it is a certified paint and body specialist but he needs some help running the business. I have already told him the best and most effective way to start getting cars in here is to undercut the all your competitors. So, we said that we would beat all quotes...lowest price guaranteed!!! We also do detailing, so we agreed that we should offer to come to clients that would not like to travel all the way to PG county! Next I am planning on printing out some fliers, but that's all I have in store and I wanted to come on here and gather up some good advice from the smartest drivers in the world! Please help me if you would.

I've been in sales for over 30 years and I have always disliked the "we'll beat all the competitors pricing" approach. My term for that is price whoring. It will work for awhile but if you hurt your competitors much they will just follow suit and nobody makes the money they deserve. I would advise you offer introductory pricing for a limited time and do the best job you can. Make a little less profit at first but that should pay dividends in the future. Word of mouth advertising will become your best friend. Good luck with your venture.
