I have a problem with my left tail light as it is not working and it is ugly as hell.

I have been told that its the LED not working and there is nothing to do about it other than buying a whole new housing which I am trying to avoid at the moment.

Can somebody confirm this? Will post picture.

Also tried searching the forums without any luck.

Oh and it is a SLK 350 2006 mod. American

Unless you can (or know someone) who can remove the light and troubleshoot a new/used light is your only option.

If you decide to take it apart, look for signs of moisture and corrosion. That would make the lights fail. If that's the case you may need to replace the led strip. Haven't opened mine, no idea if it's specific to the car or not.
