hello.

i installing tachometer for my w123.223 230E m102.980 or 981...

there not installed in factory...

mine is manual injection system.

i use hyndai sonata 2 rpm meter

my instruction is...


that one.

installed after. this red arrow... kk, it's normal working...

For a 230E you don't even need a tach amp, although you do need a four-cylinder version of the tachometer. That might be difficult to find.

Unfortunately, seller doesn't give shipping info outside D-land. You'd have to email seller for that. Now, what is REALLY hard to find, and expensive to buy once you do, is the 6cyl Drehzahlmesser (tach) with a CHROME needle button! I want one!

The chrome needle button was used up to and including the 2nd series, i.e. Sept. 1982. Six-cylinder models were less-produced, but more had options like the tachometer.

i'll change this tacho because i found w124 tacho with clock. /installation modded/
like this. right one /max-7/

i'm impressed you have access to old mercedes parts at all. is there a specialist wrecker in ulan bator or are you ordering things from russia or china?

all parts in Ulaanbaatar, some parts from china /hood star, molding, .../.

Do gassers (i.e. 230/280's) that have full size clocks come pre-wired for tachometer installations, or does one have to wire it in manually to the coil?

You have to wire it yourself if you install a tachometer. Usually the TD connection is used, not the coil.
