Tachometer not working

1991 420 SEL. My tach suddenly stopped working. I checked fuse #5 still good. Replaced it anyway. Tach stll not working. I searched some threads. All seem to be W123's. Tach amp or something. It's not really important since it's just an automatic. But, it's something in your face that doesn't work. Kinda makes you want to fix it.
