hey guys, my 84 300d since i got it has had the swithover valve bypassed. i know, i know, it is bad business to do this. i plan on repairing it. where can this piece be bought? anyway, my question is, with the valve being bypassed is the fuel at full turbo not all it could be if valve was there. follow me? i want to fix back stock anyway. but was just curious about performance without valve.

I think that the absence of the valve does not alter anything as long as no overboost condition is present. Not having the valve eliminates the overboost protection built into the system. In other words, the switchover valve is not activated under normal conditions. You ALDA still functions based on the pressure signal from the intake manifold if there is a continuous line form manifold to the ALDA bypassing the switchover valve. For the switchover valve to function properly under overboost condition, you also need a properly functioning overboost sensor located on the intake manifold. See if somebody removed that one too. i
