Hi guys,i have two 300ce 24v,one is 1990,the other is 1991.The 1990 has heated front seats,the 1991 does not,i would like to swap over,is this a big issue or straight forward swap,both cars have electric seats and same color,would all the wiring be in place for the wiring??:)

If they have the same part number you should be fine. If they have different part numbers there's probably a problem lurking somewhere. You can get the part numbers either from the dealer or from the EPC online, by subscription.

This will sound dumb but measure the bolt pattern. We started switching some W124 to W124 seats and found that the front seat bolt patterns were different [by nearly 1.5 inches]. Since we had not thought about it we had already done the grunt work which became annoying when the holes did not match up.

I have little hands-on experience with coupes but from my sedan experience I'd say that there's virtually NO chance that the 91 will have the wiring for the heated seats. It seems that MBZ "gave away" very little wiring. Their assembly lines are set up to make so many different variations for different markets that each car has only what it needs. Heck, they don't even give away the single wire needed for the rear fog lamp on US cars!
