I ran across a few posts on some message boards stating that it wasn't possible to re-code a different CCU because it was a hardware compatibility issue. I also read that a dealer can not code the new one. I need to replace my CCU, can anyone clarify whether or not it's plug-n-play or what needs to be done when I get the new one? Thanks.

What's wrong with the one you have? Why change?

it should be plug and play, especially if its an older model, like the C220 in your profile, presuming thats the car you are inquiring about?
