Was everything mostly plug in play?
Also how was the installation of the backup camera?
I'm looking into the avin, as the old one thats in the ML is shit.
Was everything mostly plug in play?I love mine. Very easy to install and easily integrates with your car. If you have the Harmon Kardon system you will have to get the most adapter, but they are giving that away for free now. It used to be 100.00 extra. They also make adapters so you can use your factory back up camera, Bluetooth microphone, and GPS antenna. Everything works great. My Bluetooth microphone must has come unplugged as it stopped working after I installed my back up camera. I will have to check the harness when I pop out the head unit again. Tommy keeps pretty odd hours so he is there pretty much all the time to help you out via email or phone. I hope this helps you make up your mind.
2006 ML500What do you currently have in your vehicle? What year is it? Do you have factory nav or backup camera or harman/kardon sound?
It's mostly plug and play, though that will vary with what you have installed in your vehicle already.
Okay. AM / FM radio works great? I read in the installation guide, that the member couldn't setup the radio to work because of some dual channel diversity system that he needed an additional converter box for the avin conventional antenna connector. Will order soon tho.The microphone adapter works great. It plugs right into the harness no problems. The most is included free with your order, you will just have to select it when you order it. Also don't forget about the $100.00 off coupon code listed on the website for benzworld members.
