Mostly directed to those of you in unrestricted areas, but I am curious what is real world possible in our cars. How fast, but more importantly for how long were you going x speed, obviously with the hard top on.

For those curious as to the why, I am looking at another run next year and want to see what is normal while I try to make improvements or repairs. Mine was able to cruise at 140 for a few hundred miles but the car wasn't thrilled. The cars happy cruising speed was about 100.

Definitely important to have an engine. Obviously I'm looking for what I have, the m113 powered sl500. But I'm Also looking for a broad range of happy cruising speeds where your mechanical sympathy feels the car in its ideal cruising speed.

Wow I thought my 162 was enough for me(y)
:)
On the other hand a r230 is still stable going 186 mph but you should you shold go off the gas even when you see a vehicle at the horizon.
(So due the poor suspension the R129 is more a cruiser, my R230 is a little badass which tries to write its marks on the street...)
