im planning on installing the superior shift correction kit for my girls 722.3. i know of one member who has had some experience and difficulty(recalcitrant retainer) installing the kit.

Im looking for other folks who have direct experience in installing this kit.

Im trying to determine if theim trying to determine if this kit makes the purchase of the oem k1 and k2 kits redundant. do i need the plastic retainers in these kits to hold the superior springs?

what parts do i need other spring retainers, etc in addition to the kit.

Take a step back and ask yourself why you are installing the kit. If you are having flaring between gears, it might fix it but it might be because you have a vacuum problem. Depending on year, shifting is controlled by vacuum and mechanical adjustments and modifying with a shift kit may mess things up worse. As an experiment, try blocking the vacuum line going to the green thing by the fuse box. (or is it blue). On my car, if you do that you get extremely firm shifts - too firm. Anyway, just suggesting that there might be problems that don't need a shift kit to resolve (and won't be resolved by a shift kit).
