A Google search with those terms brings up a lot of items. Maybe you could ask one of the dealers selling them.

 

There is not much information about that. One guy in europe done it, but shows only the pictures.

 

May be somebody know m113 and m119 engines and could tell whats going on with a supercharger fitment.

 

My notion would be to contact the several companies that sell them. Even AutohausAZ comes up as a seller.

As for me, I once had a car with a turbocharger from a major US manufacturer. It trashed the engine but a complete [really complete] engine rebuild was done at no cost to me. I think that feature was discontinued after one year.

 

I guess too many people destroyed their engines that year.

Well, Im thinking to tryintalling m113's supercharger onto m119

Well yes, the M113 bolts on to the R129 chassis...but it's entirely different mating an M113 kompressor to an M119 cylinder head.

 

but its single overhead cams. m119 double.

 

Doesn't matter. The ignition system is not compatible, so that would be have the swapped in its entirety as well for it to work huge job.

They are belt driven centrifugal superchargers, apart from one roots or screw, can’t tell which.
I like the idea of electrical centrifugal, but they need a separate 48v battery and belt driven alternator charger. I’ll wait until someone develops a more efficient 40W electrical vortex supercharger that can be run off the main electrical system. 😁

No, the only ones worth fitting cost $$$$ IMHO. Advantage of electrical is the flat torque curve. You don’t have to wait until it spools up.

 

When a manufacturer such as Daimler supercharges or turbocharges an engine, they have a lot of extensive engineering throughout the internals just to accommodate the extra boost and heat. I remember just to add a turbocharger to the old OM 617 diesel , a lot of internals such as the pistons were re-engineered.

They also implemented an oil injection system to hit the bottom of the pistons to keep the heat down.

I think to do the job right it is a little more than trying to find a supercharger that will "fit".

It is really not that complicated. This engine was made to be boosted, it was used in the Sauber c9 and c11 race cars and boosted to well over 1000hp on a mostly stock engine. Mostly just to lower that high compression ratio. The guys at Kangaroo team brought one of their m119s to over 800hp on stock internals and have beaten the hell out of it on tracks day after day, redlining while drifting. Only head bolts had to be changed to thicker stronger ones.

 

Yes, this is why the proper conversions cost $$$$. Unless you’re prepared to run low boost, and for the DIYer this means having one eye on the boost gauge the other on the road to avoid meltdown 🤣, you will need low compression pistons, head work, remap.
