So i was swapping the cabin temp sensor and i thought i'd swap the sunroof switch over too.

But i noticed that on my '86 there are four pins on the sunroof switch connector. The one i was going to fit ('89), has six pins. I could still plug it in and it worked fine. But i decided to keep my original one for the time being.

I wonder if this suggests my sunroof (1986) is slide only. Which would explain why i cant get it to tilt, lol. I thought on post '85 cars, gen 2 like mine, they all tilted and slid. Does anybody know different?

I was going to at some point get stuck into the sunroof and possibly remove headlining to swap the whole cartridge over as on my spares car it slides and tilts beautifully. But perhaps mine is fine.

Yes Ian. 4 pins denotes a sliding only roof and 6 means the tilting option.

Page 135 in the ETM for a pre '86 and page 127 in the ETM for a post '86.
