Sunroof Problem

Sounds like a stop in there is broken or not working properly. At least you can't burn your motor out. My motor has been replaced twice, once since I've owned it the PO burnt it out the last time. I trashed the gear box trying to do a manual close. I've read that the sunroof is too complex for the normal person to tackle, but if you know what you're doing take it apart and see. I'd just take it to mercedes and pay the 500 bucks.

Thank you, ill try messing with it today. I would take it to the dealer, but ive already gone to far with it. The last cable broken so i installed the a new one.

Get a new line, the old type is very badly made and it does fall out, mine was originally out of the track when I got the car. The new line is made in a way that this won't happen. and use lots of lube on that when you install it. btw replacing that line is a full day job.
