My patience is running low with this car.
any help thanks louis
In the boot (trunk) on the inside left you should find a hex socket in a bracket and manual winding shank for the sunroof in case the electrics fail. Its detailed in the W123 handbook which comes with the car. Hope this helps (mines a 77 230 coupe)
thanks but the manual winder seems to lack the style the swich in the intior of the cabin

i dont think its the motor because when the roof is closed (which now is perminant) and u accedently push the button to close it futher u can hear in the back the motor turning away ,doesnt sound healthy (like a heavy duty masionry drill).
if i try to open it there is no visable movement of the foof but i do think it dose move a bit.

thanks for any help
louis
Either the clip that holds the cable on the track has broken, or the cable itself has broken. Pretty easy fix. I've had this happen to me several times. $75. Good luck.
thanks
i have booked the car in to be fixed (2 week waiting list) few dollars for the part $50-$60 labor.

will post again when i have more info or when it is working again
louis
