Went to replace my rotors and pads this weekend and I cant seem to get the damn bearing cap off. Is it threaded? Or just pushed on? Pliers werent turning the cap so I just threw the new pads on their until I can figure out how to get the old rotor off.

Any tips?

It is a friction fit, I used a cold chisel and hammer to tap it off.

Of course MB has a special tool for the job!

I also used a chisel and a hammer. Worked like a charm

I know they pop right off if the car falls off the jack while wheels are off, but the hammer/chisel method is better. Even if it takes longer.
