Kroil and ATFmix have always been my go to buster. Using a micro-butane torch helps. This mix has been the sauce for RR owners due to the use of fine treads on these cars.

I had a bit of trouble with a stuck nut on my golf a couple of weeks ago when changing a shock.

Really tight, wouldn't break free with penetrating fluid and standing on this breaker bar and extension.

It felt like something was about to let go here in a bad way.

So tried heat, then a chisel to cut it.

Still wouldn't budge, so got out the finger sander out.

Still wouldn't budge, then the penny dropped, it's a captive nut.😵

What an idiot!

Cut off, damage welded up, and repainted.

A friend of mine had recomendhttps://www.zoro.com/lab-safety-supply-wash-bottle-standard-spout-16-oz-yellow-6fau5/i/G3043957/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=surfaces&utm_campaign=shopping%20feed&utm_content=free%20google%20shopping%20clicks&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIvI-Gg_jn_QIVRsmUCR2ijwBdEAQYBCABEgKwiPD_BwEed the home brew to me many years ago. I never wanted to try it because I only use penetrating oil once every 6 months or so. I always figured the Acetone would be all evaporated by the time I used it a second time. But I see from some of the videos, if you use a plastic container that can handle acetone, you can actually see the parting line between the two liquids and you will know if the acetone evaporated or not. Next problem is the bottle spray mechanism. I have several sprayers that work with acetone or alcohol, for several months, but non for years. So a laboratory squeeze bottle might make the most sense.

Homebrew for years as well, good for the junkyard trips, put in one of the bottle for bicycle chain lube . But still have the pb blaster, the kano oil is so corrosive that the bottle started to leak... well I had it for over 20 years...
I found knock'er loose, freeze off at one place when I had to do an exhaust manifold, everything went onto those nuts... even the blue wrench, the impact and the breaker bar... but I finally won after repeat soaking for a few weeks...
thank you for posting the various torque needed.

After 20 years, the can might have rusted through from the outside. My old small can of Kroil, that I refilled from a gallon can, had rust on the outside upper portion of the can, so I used Kroil to dissolve it before it corroded through.
