I've searched and haven't found a difinitive answer...
My latest addition to the family is a '95 C280 with 165,000 miles on it. The owner's manual doesn't specify what weight oil to use in it. Which one? My old 190E 2.6 gets synthetic 20w50. I have some synthetic 10w30 I had just bought before I traded my cadillac for the benz...can I use that or do I need to exchange it?

The OM’s not going to say because your car could be in Florida or Alaska: climate dictates what viscosity to use. For that car I would say synthetic is fine and for Nashville this time of year 10w 30 is also fine.

Thanks...that's just what I needed to know. It won't be in there for much more than 3000-3500 miles anyway and I don't do a lot of interstate driving anymore. Next time I'll get something better if I need to.
