Does anyone know the best way to store a 98 SL500 for the winter? (Connecticut)

Should I attach a trickle charger?
Remove the battery?
Periodically charge the battery?

Storing for the Winter

Well Brett, Personally I don't store my car for the winter. I seldomly drive the SL and go more with the 190E in winter. But I will tell you I think you should be running the engine regularly during the winter and when there is no snow or rain, I would take it for a drive at least every two weeks. Or when you get a chance. The worst thing for a Mercedes to do, is not be driven. Even if you have a heated garage, its bad for a Mercedes to sit. I'm not a doctor or a Lawyer and I don't have an estate with a garage that is always 76 degrees. I have owned every type of MB pre 1995 post 1979 and one thing remains the same, they don't run good after you let them sit. If your freaked out about putting miles on it. Just rev the engine in the garage (with the door open of course) It will save you a tune up in April.

Listen, don't listen...I dont care iots not my car....

Andy
