Stop start not working properly it shows eco on the center dial but it's not fictional. I even change the main battery. Is there any resets to do. What type of car do you have and does it have a aux battery? Thats what usually powers the start and stop feature.

My car is e class 250 coupe c207 2014 and yes it does have an aux battery at the back and I had it checked to and it's not at it's max but still good. And what about the other issue which is when I switch off the engine and it's on drive it does not go to park automatically like before I change the main battery

Hi no I didn't changed the aux battery but l had it checked it's not in it's max but still good the battery technician told me. And before I changed the main battery and I turn off the engine and the car is on drive it will go to neutral and not on park automatically like before I changed the main battery. Please explain.

Put it on a charger. I don't think it kicks in until it's at a certain charge. They get replaced all the time when start/stop doesn't work.

Have a W218 (2016 CLS400) and the START/STOP function is ridiculously unreliable. It has a mind of its own on when it wants to work properly and never on the first start of the day. It has a new auxiliary battery less than 3 months old and all other systems seem to be working properly. Shame, I rented a 2017 Chevrolet Malibu recently and the START/STOP function on it was flawless from the very start throughout the whole day. It functioned as it's supposed to, and I don't get this expensive MB having such issues with such a simple concept!

Any accessories OEM or aftermarket installed if so, check ground points. No accessories, have someone pull codes using Xentry (MB diagnostics).

I've permanently cured this problem on our E63s. When either of us gets into the car, we put it into Sport Mode.
