I took my car in for serving. After picking it up, I turned on the radio to find it locked. I entered the code and nothing happened. I have not yet had time to take it back to my mechanic for questioning. Does anyone know why the code is not being accepted and what I can do to fix it? Driving is science is madding.

Thanks,

WAE

I disconnected my battery without giving the radio much thought. I locked it out. The dealership first said just bring the VIN number, then they said that they will have to call HQ to get the code if I can get the Serial No from the back of the unit.

I bought and installed a MP3 deck the same day.

Enter the code number using the multi- function buttons. The first star is erased after entering the first digit. The second star is erased after entering the second digit, and so on. The radio automatically switches itself on if the code is correct after entering the fourth digit.

If an incorrect code is entered, the prompt “CODE and the four stars are displayed again. If an incorrect code is entered three times in succession, the prompt “WAIT is displayed and the radio is locked out for approximately 60 minutes. After three more subsequent incorrect entries, the radio is again locked out for approximately 60 minutes.

The lock out time will only count down if the radio switched on.

Thank you -

So what you are telling me is that there is a 60 min period that I need to wait with "Code" displayed before I can reenter my code?

Please advise?

Thank you for help!

Are you entering the right code in? If not....then after 3 times that you try. The radio will lock itself out for 60 mins.
