You really need to finish filling out your profile. We don't know whether you have a 1990 or a 2002! We can't help if we don't know what we are working on.:confused:

I have a '92. If it was my car I would: Disconnect the cable in the engine compartment and check for free movement of the pedal and cable. If they move freely, then you need to address the rest of the linkage. If not, determine if it is the cable or the pedal pivot point.

start by lubing up the throttle link...

next, undo the 2 bowdine cables, starting with the one going to the tranny, then the one connecting the pedal to the throttle, test often till you find the offending link...
