My buddy is trying to install a new stereo head unit in his 1976 300D w114. Can somebody point me to where i can find a wiring diagram for his car? I've already searched the forum and didn't come up with any relevant threads.

Thanks in advance for your help!

There's not much to it...

Coax for antenna, single wire for A+ (which will have 12V on it when the key is on - and maybe when the key is off), two 2-wire pairs for the speakers, MAYBE a lead for power antenna and MAYBE a ground wire (which will be at ground potential when measured with an ohm-meter :) )

Matches pretty well with what I see hanging out the dash in your pic.

I would say, ONE wire for the speaker.. There's ususally just ONE.. In center of dash..
In my 200 W115, there were no original wires for a radio.. So, the wires that are there, might be wrong..
Else, you might find out by measuring them.. Use a multimeter to check voltage..

I was guessing by looking at the supplied pic.

Depends on which radio was in there. My '71 has a factory Becker Europa STEREO (!!!!) and TWO, count 'em, TWO speakers ! Behold the marvel of STEREO sound in your new for 1971 Benz !!!

(oh, that'll be an extra 300 1971 dollars... :D )
