I have searched and searched but have found no definitive answer; would a 1999 W202 C-class sport steering wheel fit on my 90 CE (I'd disconnect the airbag of course).
Cheers!

The short answer is no. The horn contact is an entirely different setup. Clock spring vs carbon contacts and contact rings. Also not sure of the wheel diameter vs your stock one. Up to 94 W124's is a dead swap and you get to have the airbag.

I have a 202 wheel on my '87. It takes the contact ring from a '92-'93 wheel

Yep, here's a pic of the contact ring (squibb) you need.

It's a C36 wheel, so it's basically the same 390mm size as a Sportline/036 wheel, but it has a section of grey leather at the base of the rim.
