Im going to buy an alcantera/wood benz steering wheel for the w208. How easy is it to do the install?

Is there anything I should be worried about?

I'm feelin' it phlly. I think that would look real nice in my car :thumbsup:!
Go over to W210 forum in there DIY section. They have a steering wheel removal instruction under interiors.

Go over to W210 forum in there DIY section. They have a steering wheel removal instruction under interiors.
I got a great deal on it... 429. shipped!!!!!! Retail runs 1250. on it!!!!!

You will probably need a helper to hold the wheel steady on removal/refitting while you torque the countersunk bolt to 80 Nm. MB WIS says 'replace' the bolt. Of course, take care to remove ignition key, battery neg terminal etc, while messing with the airbag assembly.

tools are unique & needed

Torque wrench & a 10 mm HEX head socket, it looks like a 1 inch long hex key that is attached to the socket & a Torx 30 allen key with a 90 degree bend.

Don't begin till you have these.

With these you can diy easy, I know I put on a new wheel 2 weeks ago.

went from leather oem to burled walnut oem
