I'm a newbie to this forum, so please forgive me if this question has been asked a gazillion times. I tried the archives, but didn't find anything which can help me.
I have a W210 with Bose and would like to replace the headunit with an aftermarket one. There are 2 brown wires on the headunit which seem to control almost everything on the headunit (display, illumination, ign sense etc). Is there an adaptor for this so I can hook it up to a normal headunit without having to run new wires for illumination, ign sense etc?

Thanks
Frank

Maybe not...

There's a company called PAC that makes a unit that's supposed to be able to 'learn' the steering wheel button commands and relay them via infrared to an aftermarket head unit (assuming it has an IR input). It may not work with MB, but it's probably worth trying.
