My 91 300E 4matic was leaking fluid from the steering gear. I replaced the seal with the steering box in place after removing the idler arm. I fixed the leak but the tracking seemed off. I thought I did not get the idler arm in the correct up or down position on the spline shaft. The car was goosey on the road at highway speed. Had the wheels aligned. Still the same. Now I am not sure if the handling is different than before the seal replacement or I am just more aware. I am thinking maybe a front strut is bad or the swaybar is worn. I can't find anything that is worn or loose in the suspension. Any ideas or similar experience.:(

The Air Pressure Effects A Lot. I Had The Same Problem And It Turned Out That I Had 41 In The Front Instead Of 29. It Makes Easy To Urn The Steering When You Stop Or Slow Speeds But When You Are On High Way Overpressurized Tires Make Your Car Swing Around
