One day I hope to get it to look close to a factory fresh look but I am along way from that now, most of the job will need to wait till I take the car off the road this winter, but made a start on the intake housing.
Not an easy shape to clean the ingrained grime off of.
I used cut up grey scotch-bright swatches and metal polish by hand as there is no easy way to get a power tool in there.
The results were better than I expected.
I will need to remove all the fuel lines to get to the rear section and will re-plate and yellow passivate them at the same time as well as repainting the FD.
Over the winter I hope to get all the fuel lines and brackets etc re-plated too so should look much better next spring.
Of course Mrs RD says I'm an idiot as its all covered up by the air filter, too true!
