When I park my van facing up hill at anytime day, night, hot or cold it struggles to start. I wait for the glow plug light to go out but it sounds like the glow plugs arnt working. I changed them last week.
If I face the van down hill, again in any situation, i let the glow plug light go out and it starts without any trouble every time.
It's a 2009 111cdi by the way.
Any ideas?

Sounds like there is a leak in the fuel system and the fuel is draining back down the fuel lines to the tank when it is facing uphill.

Have a look at the clear fuel line and see if you can see air bubbles when it is stopped and when it is running. Check that the pipes are a good snug fit to the filter
