I'm confused. I have a 2003 S500 4Matic with original 17" rims. I would like to upgrade to some reasonably priced O.E. styled chrome rims.

The question becomes what effect does offset AMG styled rims have on my selection? It would seem to me that rims with the same circumference should not affect the 4Matic function. Am I wrong?

I originally posted this under the "tires" section with 30 viewings and no responses. Perhaps it's "my bad" and I should have posted here. Can anyone help?

Having wider tires on the rear should not have any effect, correct?

I don't necessarily want to go to a larger rim ie 20" rims because of different ride comfort issues.

Any information would be sincerely appreciated.

Correct, they need to be the same diameter . . .

As long as the roll out is the same.

It will look way better !
