Hey Guys hope you are keeping well,
I am looking a little help!
I have an E270 CDI 2003 W211, as in the title firstly the SRS light is staying on I've traced it back to the front passenger seat the computer is telling me the seat is occupied, or child seat faulty, can i by pass this to turn the light out? or can it be fixed? Secondly, Service Brake Visit workshop is on the instrument panel now it is not a RED light it is a standard warning light, Any idea's on what this could be? Again any info on this would be great. Thank you.
Kevin.

Of course the seat occupancy sensor can be fixed (well, with a new part).

Your owner's manual should tell more details about each warning message that can appear on the cluster. How are your brake pads?

By the way, you would get better answers from the W211 forum.

Pads are fine "break wear light" comes on for low pads, I'll re-post it in the W211 now sorry.;) Someone told the sensor was built into the seat and the seat need replaced!! I personally don't think this happens but again not sure.

We do not need to replace the seat, but simply the seat pad sensor.

DEALER WANTS TO RIP PASSENGER SEAT OUT TO REPLACE SENSOR FOR $1200. SEEMS EXCESSIVE.
Try an indie or specialist as this is not a difficult job but it does take a few hours, buy the part yourself and get the indie to fit it. No test equipment required because the SRS computer does a self test each time the ignition is switched on, so if the repair is good then the SRS light will go out.
