[1987 260E]

I recently purchased a 1987 260E with 95,000 miles. I thought this was a great pick up and a fun daily to have but 1 month into ownership and the car has been sputtering when I start her. The gas pedal does nothing for a few seconds and then after I get moving everything is fine. I’m not sure what’s causing this and I’m hoping you guys can give me some tips oh stuff to look into.

my 1990 300E 2.6 would sputter and stall at a stop when you initially give it gas to go forward again.... after finding and fixing numerous other things (general ignition system refresh, EHA, OVP, Air Flow Potentiometer, etc), the final solution was the injectors needed new rubber seals.
