I just bought some lowering/performance springs for my E320. I looked in the DIY section and I can't find any posts showing step by step guides to the installation. Have any of you done this (yourselves)? Do any of you know where I can find intel on the project?

Thanks.

The rears are dead simple. Undo the lower arm inner bolt with some of the weight supported on a jack, take it out lower the jack, spring falls out.
The fronts: DO NOT DO IT WITHOUT THE CORRECT SPRING COMPRESSORS. Regular compressors won't do it, I found out the hard way and nearly lost a finger.

Instuctions for 124 strut and strut mount removal and replacement are in link below. I did not do a write up of rear since it's pretty straighforward, unless you replace the supporting joints and in that case it's more work and requires three different special tools to make it much faster.

Before you do lowering springs consider using the heavy duty Bilsteins all the way around. I've put them on four 124's and they really improve the handling.

Of course if you only want the lowering springs for cosmetic reasons then just get the right tool for compressing the front springs. It can be rented here. http://www.mercedesshop.com/shopforum/showthread.php?t=126728
