LoL or not to LoL . How do you Guys actually go on about going to Work in conditions like this ,looking at the Roads there, light Cars can forget the Driving but the W140 and the Weight of the Car itself should be Ok or not ,unless of course the roads are Ice'd up under that Snow ?
What about the Windscreen and clearing the Ice over it with Hot Water ,does that damage the Screen in a way ?
Ciao ,awesome Pics

definately not LOL for me
no way will the w140 move in these conditions. they are hopeless in the snow.
many people just dont know how to drive in these conditions. my wife is a childminder and when the weather is like this the schools are closed so she doesnt need her 8 seater mazda bongo which you can just see the front of on the road behind the w140,it also happens to be a 4wheel drive and is awesome in the snow and ice you cannot get it stuck anywhere we have about a foot of snow and ive been to work today 30 miles away and all rural roads i weaved my way through the abandoned vehicles which is somewhat pleasing.
but i do hate the weather its set in for another week at least

The car starts 1st time without issues in any weather its cold at the moment but when the snow stops is set to go down to -10 to -12. for the weekend
i took the pics about 6 or 7 hours ago and it hasnt stopped snowing since so it looks even deeper now.
i normally start the car and let it runs for 30 mins or so in these conditions and clear the snow off let it get up to temp with everything switched on.
i envy people in warmer climates so much especially this week

30 mins of idleing is actually not that great for your engine....

Snow + W140 = Disaster waiting to happen, either coming at you or going to someone else. Remember, a couple of fenders and a hood or trunk is all you need to get your car 'totaled' by your insurance carrier.

The W140 is a proverbial 'lead-sled' on snow or ice.

Better to get a 4WD of your choice to test winter driving conditions.

Leave your precious W140 at home where it's safe.

Just driven home in my s280 in 3 inches of snow and -11c and it never bothered it at all ,i think the traction control light lit up once on the way out of the car park
Went snowboarding in it yesterday too in 6+ inches of snow and got there and back with no bottom tightening moments
,think you just have to go careful and allow loads of room for braking but use the engine to slow down rather than the brake pedal if you can
