Best speaker options for a 300CD-T? I want to as much as I can just drop in speakers and not have to modify anything. Let me know guys.

Thanks!

Just cut the two of the tabs off the front speakers.

How is the sound quality? I've never been in a W123, let alone a 300TD, with a working radio to see what I'm working with. However my most impostant question is: Would those speakers be loud enough if you added very rich bass?

With a sub in the trunk I would imagine they would be perfect. I usually don't listen to very loud music in the 240D but they do just fine for the Alt/Indie music thats usually on.

I got these speakers because they fit and look stock.

I used some of these(Speaker Adapter Rings) to upgrade my rear to 6" speakers. I ended up not liking how far the speakers stuck up from the rear dash so I just cut out a larger hole with a dremel. It was very easy and didn't look to much different than stock. Just be sure to get speakers that have a plain looking face, most these days look like some kind of transformer or something.

HELIX, made in Germany. 4" for the front drop in. I've also got Helix 6"x9" in the back, had to make a 1/2" riser block for them to fit. HUGE magnets. Awesome sounds, solid bass.

Cut out a piece of plywood, sand the edges, paint it black. The grills on the rears tend to pop off sometimes so I put a couple screws in them.
