My audio system was picking up noise after installing the auxiliary input. The noise was only present while I was charging my MP3 player. I have a fix for the problem now if any one is interested.

You need what is called a "ground loop isolator". This is a sommon automotive audio problem.

Rodney, thanks for the reply. I ended up making a filter to attenuate the noise. I placed the filter behind the 12V cigarette lighter port. It worked out great.
