If I was a betting man (and I'm not)..I'd say that the gap on the old plugs in your 3rd pic was a bit too large..

Great that all went well for you...

Here are some pictures of the spark plugs area on my B200

...and in the same area the upstream O2 sensor...

I have found that if you buy a cheap 17 mm open end spanner and bend the first 2 inches (5 cm) it just fits over the plug cap and then wedge against the head and with a slight bit of pressure towards the head pops the plug cap easy without damaging the HT leads. These can be pritty tight some times. N.B. don't pull on the HT leads to remove the plug caps or you can well pull the leads out of the caps. M Bannister

I've never seen access photos of the B Turbo here..

Mr.Naud,..Could you add "top down photos" showing how you get to the spark plug wires..?..and maybe a few bottom views to also help us.
I think that some work on the plugs has to also go from the bottom here..(nasty job we've been told)

I do know that the turbo is a tough spark plug change...and it could be that some plugs are harder than others to get at..

Pics please..!!

If it hadnt been for my recent TCU issue I would have had the spark plugs changed.

My indie recommended that when the plugs are to be changed, so should all the wires and the two coils. This is because the labour is on the heavy side. Which is cool because at 110,000 kms it is time.

Think of the timing belt on an Audi. May as well swap the water pump, pulleys, thermostat and housing since the front of the engine is exposed.

Changing plug wires and coils prophylactically seems like a waste of cash. I've never had a set of plug wires go bad even on cars with 600K km.

As much as I loved the A8 and A6 Avant, I was afraid of it becoming a money pit.

As for the plugs/wires/coils. I do get that odd #2 misfire code (Ive mentioned in past) that clears itself. Could be the plug, could be the wire, could be a crack in the coil. Once its all exposed, best to change it all. Then I wont need to worry about for a long time. And I'll have spares to help others with. :innocent:

I agree....don't throw money away.......

"So far so good"...Not one cent yet in repairs or failures....and amazing OE brakes and pads..on the A6
....and again not one bulb burnt...just like my B ( a touch better than my B as I have dropped $35 for OE rear rotors a long time ago)

Somethings got to go on these 2...someday soon.. I would expect..

I am curious to know how many ignition coils B200 turbo 2007 have and where exactly it is located.

Changing the spark plugs is a very difficult task on the turbo B200.

The coils might be at the very top of the pic here.

The WIS does not show anything when the word "spark plug coils" is asked about. This is all that it shows for "spark plugs"..

I had a problem with the accelerating last time

my car will experiencing hesitation during over-taking

sometimes it will hesitate from static to starts moving

OR hesitation during highway cruise

it turn out to be misfire and it was fixed by just tightened up the coil around the plugs.

misfires on plug 2 to be exact. tight and snug it, problem solved.

I almost change the ignition coil and luckily my mechanic manage to find the simplest yet no-cost-at-all solution.

I have the Platinum plugs installed I bought at Mercedes. I think they were Bosch. Their installs were staggered by about 35,000 kms (strange I know but I was doing some troubleshooting at the time and as they are such a bitch to do, I only did the two I had to at the time). Any way, the oldest two have 130,000 kms on them and they are still going strong. I will buckle under and do all four in a couple of months to get ready for winter. Worst vehicle I have EVER had to change spark plugs on but it Can be done. You need to jack the car up good and high (make sure you have solid support), and a large vocabulary of swear words to heap on the vehicle.

Wow, I would get on those plugs as soon as you can. They should be changed every 60k. Especially since you have a Turbo. The turbo plugs get fouled up very quickly. Plug #4 is a real B*tch.
Good Luck!
