Hi,
my spare wheel is going to live on the tray.
Who has the spare on the tray too? How do you get it on and off the tray? Anyone mounted a spare vertical on the tray?

Looking for practical ideas.... got lost on google...

Cheers
Andre

I have mine ratchet strapped on the deck/tray. Right now, if needed, it would be muscled down to the ground. Eventually, I'm going to build a hard mounting point using tubing and a spare hub I picked up somewhere. This will be a little less worry then maybe having a ratchet strap break or come loose.

It's a heavy lift, for sure, but I also like the idea of that weight waaaay back there to help a litle with the nose heavy stance of a 416

I started out with a hydraulic cheapie from Harbor Freight and then bought a used Autocrane from Von. Positioned as it is I also used it to swing around and raise my cab. I have it fully customized (dents) from the Rubicon and now the first part of the trail is clearanced for square-cabs....
