I'm replacing my stock 18" wheels with 16". I already got the rims but need the tires now. Will a spare tire cover fit the wheel sized 16" 265, 75? I know it will fit 265, 70. What about a wider wheel 285, 70?

FYI, ride comfort on 16" wheels on less then avg roads is significantly better than on 18"s.

You are absolutely right, the ride is much smoother with 16" wheels and 285/295 75 x 16 tires.

Try for the unpaved roads a tire pressure of around 18 psi and you will smile all day long.

The larger tires will not fit under the MB original stainless steel spare tire cover.
