I did the E420 brake upgrade on the front/rear but I'm having a slight clearance issue with the stock 2003 CLK320 16" wheels in the front. They are staggered wheels with stock tires of 205 up front an 225 in the rear. The front brakes have about a 1mm clearance from the caliper and under hard cornering, I can hear the wheel flexing and hitting the caliper slightly. I was thinking about purchasing a 3mm spacer, as that should give enough clearance. I was wondering at what point I would need new bolts? Is that only the case if I went with a 10mm or something? I'm currently using the bolts off the CLK (not the stock 190E bolts), so would they support the 3mm spacer?
