A friend of mine just sent me this photo from a rally in South Africa last year.

Anyone recognize the truck? The dual staggered offset moonroofs are interesting; and the scenery in the near background is pretty nice, too. [:p]

Dutch,

Interesting sun roofs. The front is offset to the driver's side the rear one is over the cargo area. I have often thought a rear sunroof makes sense to get circulation in the back if you don't have sliding windows back there. But over the cargo area is a bit difficult to reach.

I was sort of hoping that one of our Afrikaaners would be able to tell us about the truck.

The sign on the door says: "WesBank".

the roof is also smooth and not flutted which makes it awkward to fit such sunroofs.
It doesn't show well in the small print here, but the roof does have it's normal 5 "flutes" running front to back.

The only G I know that resembles the one in your picture is a 1984 280GE(It has a 300SE engine) of Johann Marx. It is his competition vehicle for National 4x4 challenges. He competes in the standard production class - one locker max. They actually tapes his front locker down! Because all other production vehicles competing only have 1 locker.... Even with 1 locker he wins most challenges.
