Hello Forum,
I've recently acquired at 1964 220 SEb sedan that has the original 13" rims and hubcaps on it. I drove the car from Arizona to Colorado without incident but didn't really care for the ride and handling from the 13" rims. The car is cream colored as are the hubcaps. I'd like to find a set of 14" rims that will fit the car and then purchase a set of 205/70R14 tires. I suppose I need 5 rims which would include a spare. Does any one have a set they'd like to sell? Thank you.

It'll help you to include your location. Fyi, I have a complete set or two in Phoenix Arizona that I purchased from Bicyclesfordogs Scott before he passed away .Some here might remember him as he was very active on many Benz forums. Anyway, just throwing that out in case you are near Phoenix...I can arrange shipping too if you are interested. PM me if you have interest..

I imagine you are looking for a set that will use dog dish hubcaps and are near Colorado. Is that correct? Maybe state where in Colorado (or fill out your profile). Steel wheels are heavy and therefore expensive to ship.

Local is best for that reason, plus lots of people (like me) don’t want to accept electronic payments now that the IRS is forcing PayPal and others to send 1099s, so we have to prove the sale is not profit to not be taxed on it.

I’m pretty sure if got a set but am nowhere near you.

Congrats on the purchase and welcome to the forum. We'd love to see the car! Sounds like 67300se5spd may have you dialed in.

Check the specs on the 205's compared to the 195/75's and see if one has a taller sidewall, and/or a larger diameter. I'm not sure about the numbers. I keep putting the 195's on mine. IMO the cars ride really nice, and handle/steer well, with the radials aired up to the max that's stamped on the sidewalls, so that's where I keep mine. I feel like they are just too much like marshmallows at lower air pressures.

Thank you. I will check on sidewall/diameter. I found the suggestion for 205/70R14 here in the forum and did not come across another recommendation. You use 195/75R14's?

I've only used the 195/75's, but no, never had any inner fender rub. The car had them on when I purchased it in April '92, so that's the only size that's ever been on it since I've owned it, and for the previous owner.

I would be interested in a set of your rims. I think I can get them from Phoenix to Denver, how can I contact you? I don't have the min number of posts yet to be able to start a conversation on the site.
