Hi i have a ML320 2003 , a few weeks back the right rear wheel punctured, so i fixed it and put it back, but since then a soft grinding noise comes from the right rear wheel whenever i apply brakes. i checked the brake pad thickness it appears ok. do i still need to replace brake pads or is it because of something else?

Thankyou

Diffferent vehicles I know but on my '92 Mercedes 190e this sometimes happened when the protection plate half surrounding the brake discs is rubbing against the disc as a result of the wheel/tire hitting it as I tried to re-attach the wheel/tire.

Of course it could just be your bearings.
