i just recieved a 1987 420SEL 114,000 as a gift and the radio and antenna arent working,,im guessing fuse,,,but not sure what determines whether the fuse is burned or not,,,first benz,,,any suggestions,,,

well, a fuse is burned when it looks as much, ie, the metal that is the fuse is no longer one piece but two. Take a look, shouldn't take long to check them as much.

When ever there is something electrical wrong w/ these cars the first thing to do is check the fuses. Second, if they are those crappy aluminium buggers replace them w/ the propper copper ones.

thank you very much for all the help....new benz owner and i love that car,,,come to find out the fuse socket for the fuse is fryed,,,,need to find an auto electric expert to wire my radio and antenna to another fuse,,,,
