Hello people, i don't know how people introduce their cars on this forum. But this is how we do it on a forum i'm a member on in Norway.
This might also be placed in the wrong section for all i know :p

However here is my car:

Its a Mercedes-Benz E250 Diesel, originally a 1987 model, but have been completely rebuilt to a 94. The car is in GREAT condition, almost no rust at all.
It also has an original AMG front bumber :) The front fenders are a little wider then normal, and i have gotten the antenna removed. The color is Travertine Beige, also known as Desert Silver

An amazing amount of work went into updating that car to look so modern. Outstanding!

Your intake manifold is black. Did you paint it this way, or is it made from plastic like on the M104 gasoline engines???

My OM606 intake is aluminum and did not come from the factory painted. It's just bare.

That's a five cylinder, but I do believe those have aluminum intakes just like the sixers.

What kind of steering wheel is that?
That steering wheel is from a pre-face CLK :)

Interesting, do you know if they made a plastic intake for the OM606???

I'd be interested in getting one to shed a nice amount of weight off the front end.

Love your car. It's always good to see another 124 thriving in the hands of a proud owner.

Yours is not a common color, but it's similar to Smoke Silver (702) which was really popular in the UK, especially on pre-'93 cars. Suits the car very well I think - classic, but with a bit of a retro twist.

Very unusual to see any AMG styling on a diesel, too. Over here, most diesels were specified by very 'sensible' buyers who often chose cloth seats, steel wheels and manual transmissions for the full 'economy' effect. This one is much more fun.
