A while ago, somebody was looking for the rubber ring that goes around the shifter inside the wood trim on the center console. I can't find the thread in question but the consensus was that you could not order the part separately as it comes attached to the console face. Anyway, I pulled that piece out of a 500 SEL today so if you are still looking for one, pm me.

Absolutely...bring your own tools and off you go. Actually, this was neat because unlike Pick Your Part, they had all the Mercedes in one area which was very convenient. I came in only looking for a taillight casing, but at the same time picked up a lifetime supply of 20 year old made-in-the-Fatherland Osram lightbulbs and a bunch of relays for unspecified future use. And said rubber trim piece, which I bought only because I remembered reading that it was such a rare find...so if said person is still looking, drop me a PM.
