Hi Onkel,

Wow, those look fantastic! I have a set of rims and I want to do the same thing so here are some questions for you.

1. How did you clean them prior to primer?
2. How did you remove the valve stem and wheel weights?
3. Do you just let the paint air dry when all done?

Also, how did the tire mounting go? My biggest fear is that I’ll redo my rims, they will look perfect, and then bam, the paint gets scuffed from tire mounting.

Thanks!

But it´s one of my best mates who will mount the tire and i gonna stand there to! So i see all he do and so on! [:D]

Wow... elbow grease? Sounds like fun!

You're lucky you have alot of alternate tires to use on your car, but I'm stuck with the original set so I can't do this unless I put my car on jackstands and leave it like that for a day, or two...

Thanks for the info! Your rims look great. Those are the 15 inchers right?

Nope, well not yet... [:D]

By the way did you also refurbish the inner part of the rims? Or just the outer part?

Yes I did! But I still couldn't find out how you did it, the pics only show the front, which has the chrome strips that effectively cover how you did it. To me that's a sign of great workmanship!

I'll just see if I can browse your previous posts on how you did the grille, maybe I misunderstood them the first few times.

Anyway, got to go do my lab report [:D] I'll be back online later
