Some pictures of my humble E200 - W124. It's a '95 E200 "Masterpiece".

Just painted the front brake calipers red today.

Pardon the dirty rims, have to wash them soon as the paint cures. =D

Cheers from Singapore.

Your car looks great. It truly is a masterpiece. I don’t like most other white cars, but there is something special about the two-tone white W124 cars. The splash of read caliper paint looks great too.

I noticed your chrome or stainless exhaust. It looks great. Is it a custom job, or did you find an exhaust to fit properly in the OEM cutout? I guess it wouldn’t help me anyway, because my E320 probably uses a different exhaust than your E200.

This is my azure blue 1995 E320 masterpiece.

Hi ksing44,

That chrome exhaust is a bolt-on tip that happens to fit the stock pipe. It was very difficult to find anything for the pipe.

I like your Merc alot. Especially the dark color, huge rims and lowered suspension.

What size are those rims?

In the future should i need a new coat of paint, I'd go for black. I have seen some with the chrome grill in black. looks very very sporty. (See attached)

Hey, louistrd, the car looks very nice! You seem interested in buying new rims. If you are, let me know if you are selling yours when you do so. Thanks.

Hi RafMar,

Pardon my ignorance, but what is the "IR on the boot" ?

I wasn't quite sure how to tell a Masterpiece apart from a normal Merc though. I was sort of convinced that it was when the salesman pointed out that mine has no protruding antenna on the side of the body. My receiver antenna is a 2 inch stub that is mounted near the centre top of the rear windscreen.

Perhaps you can share with me how to tell a Masterpiece apart, I'm gonna screw that salesman if it isn't..

Thanks mate.

Infra-red on the trunk? Anyway... is it possible to replace my motorized side antenna with the roof stub style? I always wanted one. (Sorry to hijack [:I] )

hmm... i aint sure what the IR was too.

I'm not sure how the roof stub antenna got there, it came when i bought the car 2 years ago. Perhaps the previous owner did the mod. Or perhaps it came as original.

the IR on the trunk (Also found on the drivers door) is for locking/unlocking the car with laser cut keys. I have it on my 95 E280 and its a great feature... my 93 E500 doesn't have it though[xx(]

Sorry door handle dirty...but you get the idea of the bottom going green when the vehicle is opened and the top red when the vehicle is locked.
