I was toying around with my buddy's 20D and snapped off a couple of shots while playing with the controls.

I loved the 20D.
Loved it so much I had to refrain from using AMEX for a few days to I wouldn't impulse-order it just yet.
I hear there are usually some substantial rebates to stirr sales for summer and fall that should be comming out shortly so I will wait for a month or two and then bite the bullet.

By the way, will you be getting the body only package or will you go for the well reviewed 17-85 lens kit?

Oh I also forgot... the aspect ratio for images is also much more palatable to me as you can see from the images on the supplied link.

The aspect ratio looks to be about 1.4 to 1.6. What is the native resolution and is the aspect ratio selectable.)

Full resolution is 3504 x 2336 (8.2 MP)

Everything you wanted to know (and some you probably didn't) about the EOS 20D. I'm a very happy owner and enthusiast (along with the 17-85 lens among others) and would recommend it to anyone.

I ordered the body only. I have a decent set of lenses now from my Rebel that I will transition over. I had the Canon 28-128 IS but it was MUCH too big. I dropped it and got a 28-75 f2.8 Tamron that is now my walking around lens. I think I prefer a fast lens to the IS stuff.

RE: Some new SLK Pictures with a Friend's Canon EOS 20D

The pictures look great though it is disturbing to see your SLK covered witrh snow. I am still waiting for my SLK 55 but I hope my Canon 20D with 17-85 arrives Friday. Hopefully I will figure out how to use it by April when my car arrives....Brad
